Accessible Hemel

Met up last week with Tobi Manikin, Managing Director of Diverse HR Solutions who has set up the Disability Partnership Group in Hemel Hempstead where organisations across Public, Private and Charity sectors take part in quarterly meetings to discuss barriers for disabled people within their organisations and identify how to remove them.

Tobi has just succeeded in getting London Midland train operator to commit to repair the disabled lift at Hemel Hempstead train station by March 2011 - it apparently hasn't worked for 2 years! A great start to a very worthy project.
